The funding received from the Youth Music Initiative, through the Scottish Arts Council, is part of an ambitious 2 year project which will allow us to deliver a series of 10 workshop weekends to the young Kingdom Brass players.
These workshops will feature some of the finest brass players in the country, and allow us to expand our low brass (with the purchase of several tubas and euphoniums).
Everyone at Kingdom Brass is extremely grateful for the assistance we received from the Scottish Arts Council in the preparation of this funding application.
The Kingdom Brass Youth Initiative is very grateful for the funding supplied by the National Lottery's 'Awards For All' scheme, administered by the Scottish Arts Council.
The grant received from them allowed us to purchase all our initial instruments and music, and we hope further funding from the Lottery will allow us to expand the KBYI in the future.
Their donation will go towards the next set of instruments for the second half of 2008.
