Ensemble Performance

The Kingdom Brass Youth Initiative plans to give young people the opportunity to perform in public as early as possible. The benefits of public performance are well documented.

The following quote is from the American website "Directions Music"

Studies have also shown that children who participate in live performances - even just in an audience of parents or peers - are more confident and adaptive than children who do not. They are more likely to be able to speak in front of a crowd, and gain confidence from positive feedback given by audience members. Playing in an orchestra or band also helps build teamwork skills. Children are taught that their individual contributions are valuable to an ensemble, and that without their contribution the piece is not as good. This is extremely beneficial for future endeavors. Most college classes have begun adding group projects to their curriculum as part of the increasing demand by the business world for new graduates to know how to be a team player before they even begin working.
